About the training
Put simply, mindfulness is a way of training attention. Mindfulness means paying attention to all kinds of things in a particular way: on purpose and in the present moment. You can’t learn mindfulness by reading or hearing a lot about it: you generally need to do it a lot and experience it. It’s a bit like learning to play the piano: you don’t learn that from a book, but by practising every day.
This programme is intended for anyone wanting to adopt a more mindful approach to life. This could be motivated by a wide range of reasons.
What will you be learning?
- Use your breathing effectively to become more aware of your body
- Stop being on automatic pilot
- Guided meditation
- Greater focus on yourself
What is in the program?
The programme starts by providing basic information on mindfulness and how it works. Each week you practice with a mindfulness meditation. There is also an exercise in each session that you can use to practice mindfulness in the course of your day. In this way you really benefit from it in your daily life. At the end of the programme there is a useful overview of all the meditation exercises.
