About the training
Put simply, mindfulness is a way of training attention. Mindfulness means paying attention to all kinds of things in a particular way: on purpose and in the present moment. You can’t learn mindfulness by reading or hearing a lot about it: you generally need to do it a lot and experience it. It’s a bit like learning to play the piano: you don’t learn that from a book, but by practising every day.
